Job application tools
Tools for each step of a job application
Every tool starts from your own resume and one vacancy. Use them together in one application kit, or open the one that matches the step you are on.
Choose a tool
Resume tailoring
Use it when you have found a vacancy and want a focused, editable version of your resume built only from experience you already have.
ATS resume checker
Use it before you apply to see five text-structure checks and which vacancy phrases appear in your resume and in the tailored draft.
Cover letter
Use it when an employer asks for a letter and you want a draft that links their requirements to evidence already in your resume.
Keyword gaps
Use it to separate the vacancy terms you can support with real examples from the gaps you should leave out or discuss honestly.
Interview questions
Use it once you are preparing to speak to an employer and want eight role-specific questions with answer outlines based on your resume.
Interview practice
Use it to type answers to five tailored questions, get feedback after each one and finish with a review of the whole session.
Application tracker
Use it when several applications are open and you need stages, notes, follow-up dates and a CSV copy in one place.
One application kit connects the tools
An application kit starts with two inputs: your resume, uploaded as a PDF, DOCX or TXT file or pasted as text, and one vacancy, pasted or imported from a public HTTPS job page. From those, RoleCarta prepares a tailored resume, a cover letter, a keyword review and eight interview questions with answer outlines.
Because the parts share the same source, they stay consistent. The keyword review compares the vacancy with both your original resume and the draft. The interview questions draw on the same experience. When you are signed in, the kit is linked to your application tracker, and a practice interview starts from a completed kit.
You edit the resume and cover letter before using them, and download them as PDF, DOCX or TXT. Editing and downloading do not use another kit credit.
- Guest: one kit without creating an account; guest documents expire after seven days.
- Free account: 2 kits and 1 practice interview per calendar month, 3 saved resumes and 20 tracked applications.
- Pro: 40 kits and 20 practice interviews per month, 20 saved resumes and 500 tracked applications.
Which tool to start with
Resume tailoring, the resume check, the cover letter, keyword gaps and interview questions all come from the same kit, so you create one kit and then focus on the part you need. Interview practice and the tracker need an account.
- You have found a role and have not applied yet: start with resume tailoring, then read the keyword review before editing the draft.
- You already have a resume you like: create a kit and read the resume check and keyword gaps to see which vacancy phrases your text does not mention yet.
- The employer asks for a cover letter: create a kit and edit the letter so every claim matches your resume.
- You have an interview coming up: read the eight question outlines in your kit, then sign in and run a five-answer practice session.
- You have several applications in progress: open the tracker, record each stage and set a follow-up date for the next action.
